Bear Lake is a small lake community about 30 kilometres north of Prince George off the Hart Highway. Most properties sit on large lots — a mix of year-round homes and seasonal cabins — with the lake as the main draw. The fishing is good (kokanee and rainbow trout mostly), the lots are big, and the drive back to town takes about 25 minutes on good roads. People come out for the summers and end up staying.
